| Renato's Gopher hole | |
| This is my tiny cozy Gopher hole on the alternative internet. | |
| It is mostly about using retro machines in modern times. | |
| I use Gopher because it is very lightweight, so I can run | |
| clients even on the retro machines covered here. | |
| If I would use http (and especially, https!) that would not | |
| really work on the retro machines. | |
| Besides that, all the html clutters the screen. This looks very | |
| clean and I like that. The information is more important than | |
| blinking screaming headlines and format. | |
| Most is centered around Motorola 680x0 machines (Apple | |
| Macintosh, Atari ST/TT and the modern Foenix retro machines), | |
| but I also might cover some Commodore VIC-20/64/128 concepts as | |
| well as I also own those (and have fun with them!). | |
| With regards to the Commodore64, I also have a modern version | |
| of it, the Ultimate64. That machine is really nice and I think | |
| it might deserve its own entry later here. | |
