	This is the place I keep some valuable Atari info.

	This is mainly about the Atari ST/TT line. Back in the '80s and
	early '90s I was an avid user of my Atari ST.

	I started to use the ST for university stuff first: the SPICE
	electronics simulator (only available on Atari ST at the time!),
	wrote my reports on it in 1st Word and Signum!.

	My thesis I wrote on an emulated Mac in Spectre GCR. My Atari was
	faster than the Mac and had a larger B/W screen. I think I used
	Framemaker to write my final thesis.

	After Uni, the ST was used for a lot of other stuff, like midi and
	programming in C (I used Pure C).
	I must have ditched the machine at some point - I don't remember
	and maybe that's good because later I hated myself for it.

	The original launching of the Atari TT was too late for me and
	maybe also too expensive back in the days.

	Fast forward to 2023: I dug up a severely battered, abused Atari
	TT030/4 at an auction. To make it run again I was kind of forced to
	dive much deeper into the TT than I had ever anticipated.

	Fast forward to 2024: my girlfriend bought me a beautiful Falcon!
	Of course, I also dived into the Falcon, with mixed success...

	During the process I ran into some 'best practices' :-)

	FreeMINT is a MiNT distribution that creates a full multitasking
	environment. You can use it to transpose the TT from a simple
	multitasking GEM machine up to a Unix workstation - and all
	varieties in between. It is a bit steep of a learning curve though.
