Just going off the bed now Kerry . So just a short note.
My dad told me much of this back in 1964 when I was 22.
It is what perked my interest in the things of God .
My dad was a preacher since I was 7 yrs old , so I knew of Godly
things , but this that you have mentioned set me really seeking
the Lord in seriousness.
I have read many books about it talking about Jeremiah going
to Island etc
We have just moved from our house (April) and because of our age
, did a big clear out of books and things my last three little
books on the early British people and Gods linage etc went to a
charity shop. They were excellent , and convinced me :)
This is a subject close to my heart nite nite
Edit - haha! I just notice Dave ended his two cents with the
same line! :D

Is Jesus the king of the world now? He said his kingdom was not
of this world; and someday I think he will come to rule the
whole world, but for now, I think it's the British sovereigns on
the earthly throne of David.
Hi Kerry
I am not sure how to relate to this as I always thought Jesus
was to replace the Kings within our relationship with God, so
why would Gods people still need an earthly king ?
Does that mean that we are meant to bow down and worship King
Charles and accept that he speaks for God , or am I missing the
context and point.
Sorry It takes me awhile to grasp things- I understand that
there could be natural blood relatives to King David, and I get
that could be the British Royal family but its the relevance I
am not understanding to the body of Christ. Surely we answer to
Jesus.

I think that things went wrong when Israel demanded a king like
other nations. At that point Samuel was the prophet speaking for
God. God was displeased as He had intended to be the only King
that Israel needed. He gave them Saul.
As we look at it, it sms that if they had waged and not
demanded, in His time God would have given them David A man
after Gods own heart
But when we look at the New Testament we read Paul telling us to
honour and obey those who have the rule over us . We are told to
pray for them . I find it hard to pray for Carny , I hate him
and all he stands for . Yet God says bless those who curse
you and dispitfully use you So I have no choice .
Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords , he is over
them all.but as yet , the cup of the nations is not yet
fulland its not time for Jesus to take His throne and rule
But, we are getting there !
Thats how I see it, anyway x

Hi Helen
I thought I was missing something, but, I agree to what you
have conveyed. I dont know if I would bow to the king, but
thats never going to be something I have to face. I dont
respect the royal family much these days, although I did
respect the Queen. I do pray for leaders, but I am not sure I
see the royal family as ruling over us anymore. So I will have
to consider that side of things. Like you I dont really respect
our leaders, but accept them.
Xx

Greatly enjoyed reading your two links re stone of Scone and The
Kings of England.
I never get tired of old English history.
I must say I still think Jeremiah brought the original stone
with him.to Ireland.
I agree with many historians who write about the British tin
mines in SW England and that Joseph of Aramathia would have come
over to buy or trade . Maybe his young nephew Jesus came with
him atleast once, but anybodys guess , who knows ..it may
just be a good story. ;)

"Is Jesus King of the world now" My answer is a no, as we
definitely aren't ruling and reigning with Him.
Is He over 'all', a definite yes to that as he 'rules' in the
kingdoms of men as Daniel 4 states and He gives them to anyone
He chooses------ that's the bit I have a problem reconciling
!!!!
God saw something in David because it was something he had put
into David, so that it could written that he was a man after
Gods heart.
The call to Sonship and the Melchizedec order is the result of
what is placed in our hearts and our response to it.
I love what Isaiah wrote in chp 6 "In the year that King Uzziah
died,I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted and
his train filled the temple, as the old song says, when death is
'seen' to be swallowed up in victory, then Christ Jesus will be
King over a whole new order world. This walk of faith has to be
based on how we 'see' the Lord .
Even so Lord haste the day, as this world is not our home.

I'm running behind schedule, so I'll try to respond to everyone
later; but for now, I found an interesting article about the
role of Jeremiah and the two daughters and how he took them to
Egypt. I was in error how it that part happened since people
who left Judah practically kidnapped Jeremiah and the two
princesses.
Jeremiah 43:4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains
of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the
Lord, to dwell in the land of Judah.
5 But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the
forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from
all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land
of Judah;
6 Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters,
and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had
left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and
Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.
7 So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the
voice of the Lord: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
The article has other references to the the book of Jeremiah and
to Ezekiel too.

The Bible is silent on the subject of how they made it to to
Britain, so the article delves into it. The Bible predicts that
a descendant of David would occupy a throne over Israel too; and
the article goes into how various migrations transplanted
Israelites to Britain since the prophecy would have failed had
they ruled over Gentiles only.

[/quote]Our earthly rulers probably aren't needed at all by
people who obey the Golden Rule. Earthly rulers exist to
restrain evil, or should anyway. As Paul put it:
Romans 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to
the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that
which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
Now here's something else to think about. We will all admit
that British colonialism did some bad things, perhaps some very
bad things; but all in all, the British Empire had done more
good. Slavery and cannibalism scarcely exist anymore; and the
countries which used to be colonies have a higher moral
standard. The British Empire also helped spread the message
about Jesus around the world. I also find it interesting that
colonies accepted a role within the Commonwealth, finding that
relationship beneficial.

I have no evidence for this; but I wonder if someone
substituted a fake stone for the real one when England wanted
it?
