I'll help on the sprites.
I can effectively do the Pawns, Bishops, and Rooks. Knights and
the King and Queen will be too hard for me though.

Go ahead if you want, Kush.
Also, Taylor, a three-player chess board wouldn't work very
well. :-\

I wonder if we could get together a larger chessboard than four
players. 3D chess wouldn't be a good idea because it's... 3D and
even though Otacon got me to liking it it wouldn't work via
spriting, at least not easily.

Wait, how can we tell who owns which piece?
Perhaps you can put my pieces in one color (using
[nobbc][color][/nobbc]) and your pieces in another color
(again, [nobbc][color][/nobbc]).
[/quote]
Then Shane'd have to change the names of "Black" and "White"'s
sides to "Green" and "Blue" (I'm guessing you'd go with blue,
Richard, while Shane'd go with green).

Names can be symbolic, Taylor. :P
(Afterall, those are the traditional names of those two armies).
Anyway, has anyone heard of Chess 2: The Sequel
http://ludemegames.com/chess2/?
(Rules to play it on a traditional chess board instead of
through a video game are available).

Um.
I just went and took a third option by making Black pieces use
the [nobbc][i][/i][/nobbc] bulletin board code.
Also, I would DEFINITELY be Green no matter what. Chilling Green
Slash~!
...
Oh wait, this isn't Grandia. :P

Richard meant G2, right? :P
Also, Shane, I like how you've captured two pieces so far.
You're doing great! I'm rooting for you all the way! ;D
Why'd you move your pawn instead of capturing the Rook first?
You'd have gotten the King in check if you moved Bishop from c5
to f2 if the king was on g1.

You're not helping my ego, Taylor. :P
Anyway, I've fixed the typo.
