The reason I don't post is if I'm not interested enough in the
subject. Most posts communicate very little to me in the way of
faith or encouragement and when I post my posts seem to have the
same effect on others.

I've retreated here after taking on the women about there great
insight,about insight,when the issue was" they're more
intuitive"I was out walking my grand daughters dog,it's a very
odd dog,English smooth haired retriever, came with an impeccable
pedigree but was obviously at the back of the line, when the
brains were given out,Helen and Jane, with the aid of internet
have psychoanalyzed her and it seems she missed somethings
growing up,conclusion,at 5 she isn't going to learn any new
tricks, any way, I was bringing her back and in front of us was a
odd(different odd to the dog)woman, dressed very oddly and
standing in the middle of the sidewalk, the dog then does it's
odd bit, charging backwards while I'm still in the forward
motion,it was odd, because part of her odd is, she doesn't like
males only females,up goes spiritual antenna, with right arm
fully extended at 90 degrees,I then notice the ladies eyes are
closed,so I say to her,do you need help?dog then makes a run for
it and I pass lady very quickly, putting arm back in socket,I
return to lady, now dragging odd dog and asked her again,if I
could help her, this brought a Hitler type salute, which I took as
a no.I know, you would have cast out the demons,4 spiritual
laws,then got her to a great demoninational church,but that's
you,not having a cell phone couldn't call any one,but I'm sure
those with them would make the call,I've been thinking of
renaming Dave's place to Dave's Adullams place,a thought for to
-morrow,
Here I bring within my trembling hands,
This will of mine,a thing that seemeth small.
Yet thou alone,O Lord,canst understand
How when I yield Thee this,I yield my all.by unknown yet known
of God.

The nice thing about replying to oneself is your not offended
because you wrote it,it seems a lot of people have no respect
for Tony Campolo,I like him,I don't always agree with him and he
does gee up religious people, his wife is odd but whose isn't?I
like the challenge he gives to young people,to not accept the
norm,in there walk with Jesus,if you haven't heard" it's Friday
but Sundays coming"like the coloured man buried in a
Cadillac, the grave digger said to his buddy, man, that's living,a
fun word.my scripture for the day"a merry heart doeth GOOD like
a medicine"for those having tea at this time, have a chocolate
digestive for me.any Adullams people out there, feel free to
share what Jesus is doing or not doing in your life.

I was thinking today the path of obedience is really the walk of
faith, the law required total obedience, what does Grace require?I
read this story of a king who was famous for his abhorrence of
waste,so it was quite surprising when he came into the room
where his aides were assembled carrying a breathtakingly
beautiful pearl in his hands,Showing it to the first of his
aides,he asked"what do you think it's worth?"Oh many trunks full
of gold your majesty,he replied. The king said" smash it!"It
would be an insult to the king to destroy such a beautiful
pearl, replied the aide. The king turned to the second aide and
showed him the pearl,"how much do you think it's worth?)"one
cannot put a price tag on such a beautiful pearl as this, replied
the second man."Smash it!" said the king,"Such senseless
destruction is unthinkable"replied the second aide,The king
turned to a third man.He was a humble laborer who,in return for
a kindness he had shown the king,he had been invited to live in
the palace."What do you think this pearl is worth?"he asked the
man."More than all the gold I have ever seen in my entire
life,"he replied."Smash it!"said the king.Without a moments
hesitation, this man took the pearl to where there was two large
rocks and in an instant, reduced the pearl to a thimbleful of
dust. The man is mad cried the aides.Holding up his hand to quiet
the murmurs, the laborer said,"Which is of greater value,a
beautiful pearl or obedience to the Kings command?"

A good truth well expressed.
Somehow I always feel that the powerful and the rich get a bad
press in all these stories, I know the lord chooses the lowly
but it would be nice to once in a while have a Nicodemus or
Joseph of Arimathaea as the hero.

Would the story fly though? All the stories and movies are often
about the poor team, poor dog, poor kid, or misunderstood
someone or other who makes good and we all identify. I couldn't
identify with the rich guy. LOL But yes, very good point
though!!!

James, how about Zacchaeus?little rich man makes good////I read
somewhere in the story of Zacc, that Jesus uses a word in his
dialogue with him, which is the word for catalyst, the ability of
an element to change another, without it being changed, hence he
could change sinners but they couldn't change him,may have made
it all up but it preached well.
