Is it me or has corn started to go out of season? The last
couple of batches we got were not great.

Ours have been great. But it also didn't come on until a bit
later than normal. I think it was mid-July before I was finding
reliably good corn here?

Leftovers tonight. Riced veggies with beans, chili, brisket
queso, with ground beef added to the mix and shredded monte-jack
on top, and chips & guac on the side.
Not adding hot sauce, because it's exactly as hot as I like it,
and within my wife's tolerances as well.

Maybe it is just the corn in this area. Makes me sad, I love
fresh corn.

Tonight will be grilled steak tips and a salad. I'm cheating
and using some kind of easy rub like Montreal steak or similar.
My mom brought me some cherry tomatoes to put on the salad and
I'll add burrata. Mr. Q will then douse it all in Caesar
dressing while I avert my eyes.

BTW, verified that BP has not cooked the lasagna yet so we
should be good.

I'm trying to remember a time I ate lasagna and was like "That
was not delicious."
Nope. It's never happened.

Once. Mom decided to try using zucchini in place of some of the
noodles like I had mentioned doing because we had so many
freaking zucchini from CSA ... only she neglected the important
step: slice then roast the zucchini.
The lasagna was watery, and weird, and just not good. But there
was spicy marinara, so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do lasagna like that because, carbs and as long as you cook
it a long long time it's still pretty great.
At least, I think so.

Last night it was puttanesca. Tonight the gentleman has a D&D
session so we're scrounging.
