Smudge sweetie,
I'm glad you still want to cuddle even though we have to pill
you twice a day (hyperthyroid). I am even willing to share my
pillow with you...However, I'm the Mom & I get first choice of
the pillow real estate. You don't get the middle, leaving me
with 3 inches on the edge. (She could even have the whole other
pillow, but she prefers to sleep half on me, half on the
pillow.)
Also, I am happy to snuggle up to whiskers, back, belly or
flanks. I draw the line at butt. Please point that somewhere
else!
Your Mom

We have a cat with hyperthyroid, and the stuff the vet gave us
comes in a tube. I measure out the dose and rub it in her ear.
Very easy to do.

Smudge is pretty young for hyperthyroid, she's just 11. I'm
looking into the radioactive iodine treatment for her since our
cats tend to live to their teens or 20's.

Dear Mickey,
Yes, Mom did get a very comfy new bed. So how come you get to
sleep in it before I do?
Love, Mom

Dear kitten,
You have tons of toys that I know you love and play with. So,
why is your favorite toy suddenly a coupon you stole from mommy?
Amused and curious,
The furless one

Quality inspector and comfort tester - Mickey works hard at
those jobs. The bed is still being inspected and tested...it
takes a while when he falls asleep on the job & has to start
over.

The one cat sleeps with my daughter and the bigger Tom with me.
Now this happens every few nights.... After I tucked her (them)
in and start relaxing myself, I hear the distress call "Mom I
have a situation!" I.e. cat made herself comfortable on the
pillow, butt in daughter's face again. I don't know why the 9
year old cannot move the cat herself, I have to go in, turn the
cat around, push cat down with butt in a better position and
then both are happily snuggled.

Dear Redford,
I know you like to hunt, but...a bat? Really?
thank goodness the county tested it and confirmed it didn't
have rabies...

Dear Ciaran,
I know you love me. I do. Honestly. But do you have to show it
by gently laying next to me (aww cute!) and DROOLING in absolute
bliss?
Sincerely,
Your very soaked mom.
