Watching a Solar Eclipse
========================
There was a solar eclipse today, June 21, 2002. It was a ring of fire eclipse,
but where I live, I only saw a swollen crescent. Of course you should not
watch a solar eclipse with a naked eye! You must use a special filter.
Otherwise, you will see nothing special about the sun, and migh damage your
eye-sight.
Even synglasses are not considered sun filters for that activity.
So, I found that floppy discs are still useful.
I moved the disc's shutter to reveal that thin round storage area of the disk,
and looked at the sun for a short while thru the dark medium.

I'm not sure the disc is good enough a solar filter, but with that filter
I confirmed that there really was a solar eclipse today.

Anyway, a great way to watch a solar eclipse is to look at a picture of one.
