Slippery Slope Arguments

One of the most annoying way to ridicule someone for a comment is using
some slippery slope argument.
For example, if you think that eaing something that gives someone a
heartburn but treating the heartburn later is okay, then you maomeont
may come up with the idea that you believe that the same goes to smoking
tones of cigarretes and treating the cancer later.

And can't I just tell others that I don't use Chrome browser and prefer
something less convenient without making fun of myself?
I write in a comment that I prefer a privacy browser. By default the
Javascript there is disabled and I can choose not to be tracked. Then, some
douchebag has to reply to my comment and write "I ride a horse and carriage,
I have no L-Plate. It is less convenient but I'm not tracked".
Well, asshole, I guess that having that horse of yours costs you an awful
lot of money. In addition, I guess you have to take care of the horse's
poop. Better walk. And please do me a favor: find a better way to ridicule
me.
