The Old Lenovo
==============
About a week ago my father gave me an old Lenovo laptop to practice.
I've found that it uses a SO-DIMM DDR2 memory module and probably a
2.5" hard disk drive without the SSD.
I also found that Windows XP is installed on the laptop.
I asked in Cybrary's slack forum how I can use that laptop to make
myself great again, and the mentors suggested that I upgrade the BIOS,
add an SSD (Solid State Disk/Device), and install Ubuntu.
I want to open the laptop first, and see if I can replace the BIOS in case
the upgrade fails (because of power failures or other reasons).
For that purpose, I will have to unscrew its screws and open the case.
So, I take the laptop to bad and try to open. I do not succeed, and screws
the screws back in. Later, I find that one screw is on the bad. So, I
screw it in to find it later on the bad again. Then I take a longer
screw from another hole in the frame and replace it. I find no screws on
the bed now. Another thing a technician needs to pay attention to is the
length of screws. Not all the screws are of the same length because if
a screw is a little bit two short, it may fall from the frame.
