Recently we moved. I've been dismayed at the amount of proper junk that I've
accumulated over the years. I mean, no two ways about it, most of the things
that I have are definitely junk. Some of it could be useful, and some of it
could make some interesting projects for someone, but for me right now it's
just junk and baggage holding me down.
One of the things that I have a *lot* of is computers. More than I realized
that I had. I mean, I kind of had the idea that I had some but I didn't
actually take an inventory of them. Apparently I need to start setting some
limits on myself in regards to what computers I can accept because *wow*. I've
already messed with 6+ computers, which doesn't include any of the monitors
that I have. That number is legion.
I've decided that at least if I'm going to have too many computers I should
just make them really tiny computers. So right now I have two Raspberry Pi's -
one is my host - it hosts

to update the DNS entries for, whoops. Anyway, it hosts wangofett.com, my email
server, and a few other things. And then I have my current "desktop". It's a
Raspberry Pi B, I think. It certainly is lacking in the RAM department.

Quite a bit more respectable. Sorry for all of the escape sequences, if
your browser doesn't like that.
Anyway, the long and the short of it is that being short on resources means
that I can't even run at 1080p very well, so I'm using pixel doubling. But that
means that I need a really tiny font. Unfortunately QTerminal aliases things,
which is ugly and garbage, so I can't really use that. I'm using URxvt, which
seems light enough but I had to go try and find a reasonable enough font. I
couldn't find the one that I had, which was pretty amazing - the glyphs were
very distinct - I only remember that the F had a significant slant to it.
Anyway, the font that I've settled on for now is called neep alt. It seems to
work well enough. I can at least get 48 rows of text on a single page, and
190 characters. I kind of love the fact that instead of a dashed 0 for the zero
I have `o`, `O`, and `0` is this squashy shape. That imperfection delights me.
I mean, it's regular, but it's kind of misshapen compared to the other glyphs.
I think that helps me grok the differences in characters a bit better. I also
like the a's are different shapes than the o. That's quite nice.
Anyway... I'm sure I'll keep this font for a while, or at least until I get rid
of all my other old computers and can afford something with some more serious
