In her most recent post, Christina wrote, "Someone please tell me ...
that the [Circumlunar Space] gopher and gemini servers are not hosted in
the US!"[1]

The Circumlunar Space XMPP server, which I run, is hosted by Ramnode in
Seattle, Washington. As soon as I have time to migrate the server, I
will. Ramnode has been great. No complaints. I just won't do business
with the U.S. any longer.

Like a lot of Canadians, I've already cancelled the American online
subscription services that I have (bye Netflix and SiriusXM) and I've
stopped shopping on Amazon. I live in a small place, so that's not
particularly easy to do, but between the American threats and Amazon's
decision to close all of its warehouses in Quebec (a union-busting
move), it's the right thing to do.

I've made a list of Canadian alternatives (both online and physical
stores). Feel free to have a look -- and add to it.[2]

I'll shop in-country as much as possible to help businesses that are
going to be harmed if the tariffs are ultimately introduced. There are
also a lot of European and Asian alternatives for online services and
shopping as well. Maybe I should make a list of those too...
