artifically-widened and reinforced passage opens to a wreckage of
poorly-excavated stones and dirt, sprawling from wall to wall.
The expanse is deeply perilous, littered with sharp stone frag-
ments, discarded and rusted excavation tools, and slippery thin
dirt that can easily catch an ankle and drag an unwitting explor-
er into a tangle of razor rock shards.
