Finished  Schismatrix  last  night.  I  won't  "review"  it,
for  reasons previously  stated[1]. But  I'll give  my frank
opinion.

I enjoyed reading it. The  pace was compelling; jumps in the
story  that  spanned years  gave  the  impression that  time
was  quite different  for Lindsay  than  it is  for us.  The
development  of Lindsay's  character from  youth to  old age
was  stirring, especially  concerning his  relationship with
Constantine and his love interests.

The world  Sterling created was profound  and immersive, and
his technical aptitude and dexterity made it engrossing with
very little distraction.  The fact that it  was published in
1985 and that I'm reading it in 2018 made the cyberpunk tech
amusing and intriguing at the same time.

There were aspects  of the book that I  found distracting or
detracting, but  not for any  reason that matters  to anyone
but  myself.  Just  a  few small  things  stemming  from  my
own  personal  views  and  ideas, that  I  would  have  done
differently.

All in all, I  enjoyed it, and I'd like to  read more in the
genre.
