Grex is  down. Yet  another reason  to have  multiple gopher
holes, and also to keep a backup (though, I'm sure grex will
be back online soon.) I'm glad circumlunar[1] is online.

Today  all our  furniture is  being moved  out. Since  we're
moving out in  a day or two,  I went ahead and  shut off our
internet today. It was somewhat  comical to see how everyone
in  the house  reacted  to that;  thankfully,  we have  wifi
hotspots and plenty of 4G LTE data. We're spoiled, truly, in
today's day and age.

A year or  two ago I tried the  dumb-phone thing (solderpunk
wrote about this a bit recently,  I really need more time to
re-read that, it was good[2].) My biggest issue with it, for
my work, was  the fact that I couldn't find  a way to tether
it. The phone had 3G, with unlimited 128k internet when that
ran out.  That would have  been just  fine, if only  I could
have tethered it.

Right now I'm  tethered to my smart-fool phone.  The type of
internet that  I mainly  use (email and  gopher) work  as if
nothing has  changed. I love  the public access  unix world,
and the gopher world, which  demand almost nothing of me but
my participation.
