Got an  offer on our  house yesterday, sent  a counter-offer
today. If all goes well- and it should, unless the buyer has
just changed their  mind- we should be  under contract today
or tomorrow.

I'm a lot more excited than I  read. Might be time for a few
exclamation marks!!!

This is the second house  we've sold, so we've been through
the process of  selling twice, and buying  twice. There are
plenty of things  that can go wrong, but  the process isn't
that complex, so  there's a great chance  that nothing will
go wrong. Time alone will tell.

The closing  date is  in 30 days.  We're mostly  packed, and
have gone through a  Marie Kondo simplification process once
or twice,  so I don't  feel a  rush to pack.  The inspection
period is  15 days... to  me, this is  the "I can  change my
mind" period for the buyer. We'll wait to pack until that is
past.

We have a  storage unit down the road, ready  to go. I'm not
one for  storage units, but  since we don't know  exact what
we're going to do, it's  necessary and perhaps even wise. My
friend owns  the business, so  he gave me  a good deal  on a
larger unit.

Also, we  have been out  of town,  so I'm behind  on gopher
reading. When  things slow down  a bit, I'll have  to catch
up.
