The title of this phlog post looks like I might have fallen
asleep on my keyboard. The "any" portion is coincidence, but
the rest means something.

Solderpunk recently wrote about the question of anonymity
in digital life[1], with ideas that I both respect and
understand. He expressed in another post[2] that his
feelings on that prevented him from going into more detail
about his z80 projects, which I had expressed interest in.

My view on the matter is this: guard the anonymity; for
those who want to explore your z80 projects, they can do so
without realizing the connection, on the www. It sounds
like the information is out there to be found. For my part,
there's a good chance I've already seen it, since I've
been consuming z80 info like the world is ending and I
won't have another chance in this life :)

On a completely unrelated note, I was browsing through
tomasino's phlog, and came across a phlog post that
mentioned Shakuhachi[3], a Japanese end-blown bamboo
flute. I'm continually amazed to find people with such
similar interests and ideas on Gopher. I love bamboo
flutes, and play myself. I primarily use a more
"western" style of flute, but I do have an end-blown one
that I really ought to practice more at.

I posted a photo of my favorite flute in a new folder on
my gopher hole[4]. The flute next to the z80 computer in
a folder labeled "beauty" is not an accident. These two
items represent, for me right now, the two hobies that
bring me joy and relaxation. I think they go well
together in a photo.

Tomasino's interest, it sounds like, started with martial
arts, leading to spiritual exploration. I think that's a
fascinating path. My own path is spiritual in a sense, but
only in a general sense that I believe all music-making is
a part of. I love to play, for pleasure, relaxation, and
joy.
