After Finland, I hope pet84rik has time to play with
TinyWM[1], it's something that anyone who uses an Xserver
could benefit from. At least, I found it very interesting!
Also, I'm on my second full day of using a modified TinyWM
for work and play, and I quite like it in many ways.
Last year, I was going to sell my house and take the family
on a trip around the country. Then my dad got cancer and
died, and the whole house selling thing fell apart. We tried
but it just wasn't happening. So, we took the holidays off
and determined to try again this year (with some slightly
modified plans for the trip.)
With the holidays over, I decided to put the house up "FSBO"
for a while, before attempting to find another realtor. I
suppose I figured that I would have nothing to lose, which I
am quite sure a Realtor(tm) would tell me isn't true. In any
case, it's done.
I had mused internally with the thought of being the first
person in history to sell his house on Gopher. But I think
the chances of that are quite slim. Besides, the further
that Gopher can stay away from any kind of monetization, the
better.
Right now, I'm trying to work on some small home marketing
efforts each day, and some minor repairs around the house
(painting and such.) I'm putting a path in the backyard, for
aesthetics mostly. We packed a lot of our things last year
and put them in storage, after working through a Marie Kondo
minimizing effort[2]. I'm attempting to pack up more of what
is left.
