kvothe wrote a bit about how often one might phlog
reasonably[1]. Perhaps kvothe was just musing on the
subject, but it seemed like maybe there was a worry that
the things written wouldn't be of value to gopher space.
I'm incredibly biased in this area, but I'll throw my
opinion out there for what it's worth: write all that you
can and all that you want to kvothe. Remember, you're not
writing for us, you're really writing for you. Don't be
reluctant to write for fear of the readers.
As for me personally, I love reading everything that people
write on gopher. I'm slowly removing myself entirely from
the social media world (I'm almost out at this point), and
gopher has been a wonderful alternative. It's such an
entirely different thing. It doesn't replace the social
media garbage, it surpasses it. I suppose one could be part
of both, and that would be OK too.
Gopher needs more people writing, sharing, discussing, and
even musing. But again, I'm quite biased, since I like to
just sit down and write whatever comes to my mind,
sometimes multiple times per day. If no one reads it, that
is just fine. If people read it and don't like it, that's
OK too. The goal is met, the content is out there, and
gopher is a bit "more" for it.
