On my bookshelf is an old childrens book, the actual copy
that I read as a boy. My kids have read that same copy. It
isn't a terribly impressive book perhaps, but it's a book
that thrilled me as a child. The title is "That Game from
Outer Space" by Stephen Manes.

Every once in a while I see the book sitting there, and I
get a connection to my childhood; nostalgia, a memory, or
whatever you want to call it. Last night, the thought came
to me that I ought to thank the author for his work.

I wrote the letter this morning, and sent it off to an
email that I found connected to his most recently
published book (he setup a publishing company of his own,
so it was easy enough to get an email address.) Hopefully
it gets in front of Stephen, and makes his day just a tad
brighter than it might have been otherwise.
