We're in our last planned destination, near Portland Oregon.
It's nice to have "landed" in a spot where we'll actually be
spending about two weeks, after having done severl 1-4 day
stops.

It was my grandmother's 90th birthday today. We had a
"small" party this evening with her (20-30 people?), which
was really nice. My grandma's-cousin's-kids and their
kids were there from Sweden (my grandmother, or "mormor"
is Swedish), and that was fun. My whatever-cousin-however-
removed got married since I saw her last, to a guy from
France, so I got a chance to dust off my French. On Sat
we'll have the "big" party (expecting >100 people)... I
am expecting it to basically be a mad-house, but she will
enjoy it.

Trying to figure out if we want to try to camp somewhere
in the totality of the Aug 21 eclipse. It would mean more
odd-ball travel likely with hordes of people and jammed
roads. But, it would probably be worth it for that kind
of experience.
