a 3D printer 02/06/22
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I finally  broke down and bought a 3D  printer. Our youngest has
been  fiddling with  Blender, and  he's getting  pretty good...  so, I
thought, he  ought to  start tinkering with  3D printing.  The printer
isn't an expensive  one, but they've improved over the  years (a while
back I bought one for a work  project, and it was a finicky thing with
way  too many  parts.  This  one went  together  easily and  properly,
without any fighting.

The print quality has improved too over that last venture. Still a bit
testy about  the bed leveling  and whatnot, but  it does seem  to work
mostly. My son  is getting a kick  out of it, and that  alone makes it
worth it.

Now to commission him to make components for weird projects...
