(update: about a year after this was written, I switched things to 70
columns and re-formatted previous content, to be more considerate of
people reading on older machines or in narrow formats.)
I suppose this will take some testing. Thankfully, I have a short
little script that helps me format, and the columns are easy enough to
change around. Here we go at 100 columns, and I must say, it does feel
a little liberating. Perhaps not as conducive to modern brevity, but
still liberating.
I wonder, will having more columns cause me to be more verbose? Don't
laugh, it is possible.
Another thing I've been meaning to do more is to get back into a
pattern of reading on gopher. I've been very neglectful. I'll keep
things at 100col for a bit, and try to find time to read what is out
there and respond. The world of gopher has gone on without me, I'm
quite sure. It's time to chase after it.
