It's been a while 10/13/21

When I  did `cd gopher/phlog` I  realized that it had  been quite some
time since I had visited my own  directory... and when I got there (it
was a quick trip), I saw that it's been a couple months even.

Now, where did the time go?

Once upon a time,  I used to write more or less  every day. These days
have been a little too full,  I suppose. Though, I enjoy writing here,
so maybe it's more of a priorities issue.

Summer has parted, and Fall is here. At least in my neck of the woods.
It was a good, easy transition. The  warm days held on as long as they
could--heck, they're  still hanging on now.  It'll be in the  70's out
there. Not hot, but not cold yet either.

The leaves know what they're doing. They can sense that it's time, and
they've held on long enough. I think  a hard cold snap would make them
a little brighter, but I'm  not complaining, they're beautiful as they
are now.

A friend taught  me how to embrace winter, and  so I'm looking forward
to that as well.
