QRP, low power radio 07/20/21
------------------------------------------------------------
User yargo  mentioned that there's  been a discussion about  ham radio
over on circumlunar.space's bbs[1]. I've been watching that discussion
with interest! I've only had my tech license for the last ten years...
never did get  around to upgrading. After I renewed,  I figured it was
time to step it up, so I'm testing for General this evening.

I'm very excited to get into QRP[2]. That said, I'm very nervous about
learning morse code. I've tried before, but haven't gotten far. I have
a cheap MFJ-557 practice key, but I have a feeling that I don't really
need  to learn  straight  key;  I'd like  to  skip  to something  more
advanced.

It's probably a discussion I'll bring up  on the BBS, but if anyone in
gopherspace has thoughts, I'd be interested!
