the yarn store (zaibatsu), 09/28/2019

Well, here I am in a spacious yarn store in Independence,
MO. The Yarn Merchantile I think. We drove out here to spend
the day in Kansas city, my wife and I. She knits, but I
don't (yet), so I figured I'd write another semi-roophloch
on-the-road post...
Missouri has been interesting. It is a very geogrqphically
homogenious state, compared to Arizona; we drove two hours
to get here, but it still looks the same. That causes me a
little heartache, as I love to explore and find that less
interesting here. One person I spoke to about it said that
"out West the beauty roars, here it whispers."
I guess I need to learn to listen.
On the bright side, I get to visit some thrift stores while
we're here. Stopped at one called Thrift World, and they has
an original NES with about 10 games amd some other
accessories. They were asking way too much, but it was still
fun to see. We'll see if any others hold any surprises.
