Is it a front? (zaibatsu), 05/17/2019
------------------------------------------------------------
There's a grocery store near my house, a smaller local
chain. It's near the edge of town, on the opposite end of
the Walmart, and it doesn't see much traffic. It's normally
very empty, but it chugs on.

A friend mentioned that the store was so empty all the time
that she didn't know how it stayed open. She thought that it
must be a front for money laundering.

Maybe it is, but it's a little far fetched. Still, who
knows? Stranger things have happened. How can one tell if a
store is a front for something else? What are the signs to
look for? Or, should citizens keep their noses out of such
things?

Whatever. I'm just glad there's a grocery store in walking
distance.
