Updates, and Bar     05/27/21

Updates:

I've compiled my own kernel, though I didn't change any
settings, so it may well be identical to the kernel that was
shipped.

Attempted to get apm and/or acpi working, with almost no
luck. I say almost none, because at one point my screen was
blanking on its own. I can't see to get that to be
consistent though. Haven't been able to get battery status,
or the proper /dev entries for apm or acpi, no matter what I
do. Maybe something needs to change in the kernel.

I got git9 setup, which makes it nice and easy to get new
software going.

Installed gopher, netsurf, and bar as well.

Bar[1] has been giving me some trouble. I can't seem to get
it to work in the way that is described in the man page. It
shows the date/time just fine, but I can't get it to launch
anything using the mechanism provided. I've tried a few
different methods, but no dice.
