In June of 2018, around the time of Midsummer, my wife and I spent a
few nights in a remote cabin.  There was no electricity at the site,
or anywhere nearby, and the total lack of interference from appliances
resulted in the best shortwave reception I have ever experienced.  I
logged English language broadcasts and applied for QSL cards from the
following stations:

22/06/2018 1940-2010 UTC,  9810 kHz - Voice of Islamic Republic of Iran

23/06/2018 1130-1200 UTC, 17679 kHZ - Radio Romania International
                                     (QSL card received 25/07/2018)
23/06/2018 1905-1925 UTC,  7280 kHZ - Voice of Vietnam
23/06/2018 2020-2055 UTC,  5960 kHz - China Radio International
