Ahoy, Gopherspace! If you're reading this, then at last I've made a
ROOPHLOCH post which has gone according to plan and is a little more
exciting than just tethering my old eeePC to my phone's mobile data
connection. Full details will come in a future post (uploaded
conventionally!), but the long and the short of it is that this text
has survived a slightly Rube-Goldbergesque pipeline looking something
like:
Arduino -> 433 MHz ASK transmitter -> matching receiver ->
USB soundcard plugged into Thinkpad -> minimodem -> shell script
Transmitted at 100 baud over less than 100m, with <3!
