It has definitely been some time since my last posting. This I own.
2022 has passed not without some consternation here in Ottawa with the
growing impatience with the pandemic and the approach by various levels of
government to it. And of course, we had an unwelcome occupation in February,
which added to the chaos of the time. I was, however, able to get out of the
country in March, to visit a warm spot in the Caribbean, which was very
welcome.
Since then, the general health has improved, both for people, and for
society as a whole, as many took their third, and later their fourth vaccine
(myself included). We are on the mend.
Tech-wise, I did install WiFi6 at the house, and changed out a number of
machines in the standard lifecycle, as pandemic influences over supply
chains have lessened. The iMac has gone to a new home. The Mac mini has been
welcomed, and now serves as the core of my network.
With respect to the PineBook, I did end up swapping out Mandrake for a
Debian derivative, Armbian. It was just less fussy.
