Rathbone-Cake and Potassium Broth are Vegan-Friendly
My son erred in thinking Japanese instant coffee was on sale for $2 CAD
at our supermarket. I traipsed hotly with anticipation and we saw the
price was actually $7.79 -- I don't know how he saw that as $2. But I
bought a 90g jar anyway, as it's slightly less expensive than NESCAFE
in unit price/100g.
I called my mother-in-law. She's doing well. We did well until she
said "could be worse, you could be living down here" and I fell into
a discussion/disagreement about the US electorate mentality. Probably
mentality is the wrong word. I forgot with whom I was arguing. I let
her win, as she lives in the US and has for most of her life, and
thus she knows best: the US electorate is STUPID, not HATEFUL/
MALICIOUS/BULLYING like I stated (because they chose a chaos agent
with raging ego, for the SECOND TIME). Is the US electorate capable
of remorse? I doubt it. I doubt drunk drivers feel remorse either.
My biracial (african american) niece and nephew did not vote. Neither
did my kid. However, my kid votes in all Canadian elections because
he lives in Canada. My niece and nephew live in the US. My son does
not regret not voting. 78% - 83% percent of his electoral district
voted the way he would have. Here his vote counts more.
I messed up by buying lemons. My feeble excuse is that my son and I
have colds, and fresh ginger and lemon with apple cider vinegar and
honey is wonderful for a congested, scratchy throat. Lemons were 4
for one dollar. A Canadian quarter each. My second feeble excuse.
I also bought a shallot, again I messed up because it's Ash Wednesday
and I wanted a shellfish dish: Zuppa Con Vongole Alla Italiana
(clams with white wine and tomatoes). The meal was marvelous, a good
hit of Vitamin B12, and even Vitamin C.
So next time: no shallots, and I'll use cheap reconstituted lemon
juice.
