Public apology

When I first asked for asylum here at the Zaibatsu I promptly set an email
alias up, then redacted a contact details file at my gopher space [1]. All the
usual stuff with new gophers, I guess.

So here I am, 3 and a half years later, wondering how I never got a single
message at this address. Certainly, having a big readership was never
expected but...

As it happens, when I created this alias I also promptly forgot to bind it to
my regular mailbox!

BEHOLD! HERE'S AN IDIOT OF OCEANIC MAGNITUDE!

Now, I got exactly 4 messages in those 3 and 1/2 years, 2 from solderpunk
who were CCd to my regular mailbox.

I'm now replying to the other two messages. God, how will I find the words
to explain this one...

At any rate I ow a public apology to Flatline and <undisclosed-individual>

Flatline seems to have departed the Zaibatsu for good [2]. I deeply regret
missing the opportunity getting to better know each other. Good speed Jean!
