The Mare Tranquillitatis People's Circumlunar Zaibatsu
(zaibatsu.circumlunar.space) is a small (512 MB RAM, 12 GB disk)
Debian GNU/Linux server which offers free Gopher and Gemini
hosting space to anyone who requests it, subject to resource
availability.  The server is administered by Solderpunk, who can
be contacted via email on [email protected].

The Zaibatsu can be used to host any material which will not
result in legal trouble for the administrator or the hosting
provider.  You are welcome here regardless of your age, gender,
language, political orientation, race, religion, or sexuality,
and you may speak your mind about whatever you like.  This
freedom is extended to all users, including those you disagree
with.

Particularly welcome are "phloggers" who are interested in
maintaining a regularly updated gopher log ("phlog") and
participating in the growing phlogosphere, as well as "gemloggers"
interested in maintaining a "gemlog".

If you make regular and responsible use of your gopher and/or
Gemini hosting space for some time, you will be offered shell
access to the server via ssh.  There is a small shell community
here, in the vein of SDF, Grex, Blinkenshell, tilde.town, etc.
There are local-only mail and IRC servers running, as well as a
file-based bulletin board.  Due to the limited system resources,
the local user culture is focused on the use and appreciation of
small and light tools (e.g. elvis instead of vim, or mg instead
of emacs).   We also develop our own tools of this kind - see our
software forge[2].  Outbound network connections are heavily
restricted by firewall, so if you are looking for somewhere from
which to send spam, seed torrents or portscan potential victims,
then please do not waste our time or yours and look elsewhere.

Participation in the shell community is strictly voluntary and you
are welcome to just maintain your gopherhole or Gemini capsule
and ignore the rest of us.
