And it hurts the dealership in the long run.  So I don't see why they have an
incentive to do this.

It depends a lot on the dealership, and who's employed there.  Around where I
live, we have a couple of really nice ones with good people.  But when I lived
elsewhere, they were money-grubbing jerks - then they wondered why no one spent
money there.

Capitalism works.

They think they do.  But they tend to treat us plebes are pawns that are moved
by someone else.  They don't understand that we motivations as well.
