Yup. Defective equipment. But they probably won't pull them over for that.

Oh, ya. I didn't realize how shady until I had to get a replacement part for
my truck. Since I worked at GM Service/Parts Operation at the time, I was
easily able to verify the part number.
So I go to the dealership locally, provide the part number, and they tell me
that I couldn't buy it (which is very strange). I had to buy the whole
"fixture" instead of the small part that wore away.
So I asked to borrow the phone, called one of my buddies at SPO (i.e. "The head
office"), who had me put the dealership on the line. The guy went white. I
guess that this wasn't the first time they tried to scam a customer on parts.
But the empowerment is on purpose. A few large companies is much easier for
the Elitists to control than a large number of small companies. Hence why
during the scamdemic the big box stores could stay open, but the small ones
couldn't.
