They are running on fumes.
Short term: They will cut back on the exhorbitant salaries, but they will
resist getting rid of their DEI hires. They may even try to play the good
shows more often - not that anyone is listening to PBS anymore anyway.
Long term: They will fail like all other socialist organizations. They have
never had to be an actual business before and have no experience.
In addition, all their IP has already been sold off (ex: Sesame Street) to
others. So they don't have anything special to offer viewers.
On top of that, media viewing on TV has dropped and continues to drop.
So now they have to be competitive in a tight market that is tightening up more
every day.
I give PBS a year, maybe 2, before they declare bankruptsy. They certainly
won't last until the end of Trump's term.
