MP>> anybody else have a problem with tailing mis.log file??
MP>> raspbery pi4 (4gb) a46 build
MP>> tail -f mystic/logs/mis.log or even cat mystic/logs/mis.log
MP>>
MP>> once it reaches a certain point (and it takes days to get there)
MP>> the "log file" stops adding to the log.

gr> MIS opens the log and keeps it open, only writing to the log file when
gr> it has 4 kilobytes of data to write.  It does this to reduce wear and
gr> tear to the disk and it speeds things up a bit.

gr> You can disable that function by turning the log caching off.  MIS
gr> will then update the log file immediate, but it has to open, write,
gr> and close the file each time a line needs to be added to the log.
gr> This is harder on your disk but you'll be able to tail it.

gr> You can turn it off in Servers > Logging > MIS.LOG > Cached Log > No
is there a way to FIX the caching so it doesn't die??

don't want to decrease performance

it happened again, log file hit 17megs, I copied the file to miscrash.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi 17M Jun 23 16:07 miscrash.log

I then shutdown mis, deleted mis.log and restarted

the big question is why is it stopping writing??? and other than not caching, what else can be done ??? is there a way to keep track of mis via the console?
