He was in rough shape for a long time. Alcohol addiction and
drug abuse. He even had some surgeries (his back?). Based on
his size, he was probably coping with complications due to
excess weight.  The news is now reporting that he passed "of
covid". Too bad. Probably any cold or flu wasn't going to make
it easy for him. Infact, maybe even a mild case was hard on his
body.

I wasn't really drawn to the "Bat Out Of Hell" phenom.  The
female singer for it was the real star, imho.

But Marvin had a style, a chrisma, and strong voice that worked
in his favor.
