I drop in occasionally.

SD> That's pretty sad. :(

I haven't listened to popular 'music' for probably 20 years and am totally
unfamiliar
with any of the currently popular performers.  Since that's what's been
discussed
I haven't commented.

My primary interest in music is the period from about 1920 through about 1963
(I do have quite a bit of WW I era material, too, including Irving Berlin's
first musical, 'Yip Yip Yaphank' c. about 1918, in which he performs).  I do
collect phonograph records (remember those?) and have, give or take, 30,000 of
them (and a row of audio CDs that's about 20 feet long).  If you can think of a
song that was popular during the aforementioned period (and well up into the
1970s) I probably have it, and probably on an original 45 or 78.  FWIW I
could've started playing Christmas music a month ago and wouldn't have to
repeat anything until well after New Year's <g>.
