What official release  ?

What, where, when !

For many years I have been installing mbse at /home/mbse using ./configure
--prefix=/home/mbse followed by a modified version of SETUP.sh where all
instances of /opt replaced by /home.

No issues what so ever.

Why do I use /home?

Because I have different distros or just different versions of a distro and do
not want to create duplicates of the entire mbse directories of more than 16Gb
when ever I have to test a new distro version prior to installing it over a
production system.

Michael had no issues with me and others doing so and DID OFFER FULL SUPPORT.

So what's your problem ?

Vincent
