remote access has three dates stored in its database for each file...
actual file date
upload date
last download date
when i pull files en mass, sometimes i have to adjust their file dates
otherwise they get the date i downloaded them... that generally depends on how
i download them (eg: http ftp etc)... i've got a script that i run that sets
the file date to the newest file in the archive... then when i import them into
the filebase, they have the proper "upload" date... lastly i have a process
that sets the last download date to the upload date so they don't show any
weird dates...
every time i look at a different bbs package, i hope to find at least all the
existing functionality i currently have plus maybe something new ;)

there's probably a language macro for that value that you can add to the
prompt... i'm guessing that MBSE has macros to access the various values for
the current user's record along with their current location in the message and
file bases... it seems to be a pretty standard function... the real question is
how complete is the list ;)
