Its not a glitch. That's the result of asking the Fairies in the bedroom
closet for a Sex Change. Option #5. You must have not paid attention to which
wish you asked them to grant.
Alternately, you must have tried to Catch one of the Fairies. They punish
those who try in two ways. You lose all HitPoints but 1, and you are swapped
to the opposite sex. In Turgeon's House, you NEVER get to catch a fairy.
That's the way Mike Ciesiensky designed the routine to work, and I've seen no
reason to change that.
There's plenty of igms, some are mine, that let you buy a Fairy with Gems, or
wish for one. I've added some new code to the Closet event that warns that the
Fairies can't be captured, and that informs the player to tries to do so that
they are swapped to the opposite sex.
There are various ways to change your Gender back in LORD. But they all
involve usage of LADY Scripts in the LORD Forest -- Gordon Lewicky wrote Sex
Change; using a LORD Player Database Editor (which you can't do in a BBS Lord
game unless you're the sysop); or using various IGMs.
1) Turgeon's House as noted, has a Sex Change wish in the Closet event.
However, since the igm is random, no one is GUARANTEED that their wish will be
granted, OR that they will see the Fairies.
2) The Village Hut. You can ask the Village Idiot for a Sex Change.
Those are some examples of how you can get your character's Gender changed
back. And next time you have a problem with Turgeon's House, remember to write
to me directly please. Donald.
