One on hand, Seth's old versions use 100% of the cpu, so people think
"faster" since the old versions hog the computer..
4.06 and better (especially 4.07) properlly give up time slices, so that Lord
doesn't bog down the machine. Upside part 1: Your CPU isnt pegged when Lord
is running. Upside part 2: More instances of Lord can be run at one time (as
well as instances of other doors) Downside: Lord can seem a bit sluggish,
since people are used to a misbehaving software :)

That should be "Michael IS using blockwrites instead of character by

On fossil setups, this helps _tons_.. On "non fossil" setups, its all still
sent char by char (since non-fossil setups dont have a send_string function)
