It "runs" faster because of something Michael did to port the door to different
platforms.  That problem you speak of is now fixed in the 4.08 beta and the new
one (DOS) runs faster than the old versions. :)

For those who are interested: Michael is not using blockwrites to write screens
and strings, he's doing them by character now so that will speed up things a
LOT.
