Sorry, got "cut-off"
When you use the analogy of striking a string, or slap and pop, thin
fingers...short fat pulpy finger; it's like describing the hammers, and felt
hitting a piano string. Yes, the percussive aspects DO effect the tone, as do
the strings, cabinet...surrounding area...etc. Rich did mention "mass of
players bone", it all factors in. I'd concede to "Tone involves the fingers",
I'd disagree with "Tone is in the fingers".
