I've personally found that D'Addarios are too cold sounding for anything
overly useful than the longest lasting string I've come across. Dean Markely
and Fender I personally prefer for the "warmer" sort of sound but DM's I've
found snap pretty quickly and Fenders tend to go dead and corrode pretty
quickly, so either way, D'Addario appear to have the monopoly cuz I'm poor :(
