Stent's if suitable is the way to go as it is a simple (for the patient) and
you can go home the same day with only a hour or so recovery to check that all
is well.
For mine is was inserted near the groin but these days they have started using
the arm and you can watch the whole process in a monitor but mine was a black
and white job so harder to work it out so not bored and had a quick cat nap.
You can ask for a relaxant jab if you want but it will be very mild as they
want you awake - mostly to report any pain.
I currently have 3 + 4 - yep seven but if I ever need fixes for the heart I
was
informed it would be open surgery which I would prefer to avoid if there is a
choice what with suffering from a problem back for many years.
Stent's is usually backed up with taking a blood thinner such as Clopidigrel
75mg daily - just have to avoid getting a cut and remember to go off it 3 days
before any surgery - you tend to have an issue with blood clotting for a cut
etc - so a issue for any surgery. The drug (I have been told in the past) for
reversing the effect has its own problems that is best avoided.
Going to the dentist I go off it a clean two days before but do not bother for
covid jabs as that is goes straight into mussel
