GECHO v1.00 could only handle Hudson and .MSG. (1992 vintage -
JAM hadn't been invented at that time).

It was in its later guises of 1.03 (?) etc. that its handling of
JAM and others came into being.  But - there were a number of
discrete versions of it, which mean that if/when a SysOp wanted
to have a mixture of message-base types on his/her system they
would have to activate multiple modules of GECHO.
