there is a buffer setting in FE that can be adjusted... i know the OS/2 flavor
has the largest available buffer but i'm not sure what it is... the DOS flavor
has the smallest buffer... if there's a windows flavor, it should be in the
middle or as much as the OS/2 flavor...
